Poddley Town

I would love to live at One Poddley Place, in Poddley Town.  Everyone would wear pith helmets.  And time waves would lap against the shore of our sparkling, motor-free but expansive blue lake.  Each room in every one of our houses would be an illustration from one of our favorite picture books.  My backyard would have a roly-poly hill full of Pokey Puppies.

And there would be a kiosk in the center of the village square that would provide each village resident, each year, for free, all of the current year's kitchen gadgets that actually work.  It would be a very quiet kiosk.  I would have great peace of mind, knowing that through the wisdom of the kiosk, I will have exactly, and only, what I really need.
